Frequently Asked Questions
Short answers to the questions people ask most.
The questions below are the ones that come up most often when teams are deciding whether Astervis fits — about what it is, how it installs, where your data goes, and what the AI layer actually does. If you don't find your question here, the deeper guides are linked throughout, and you can always reach support@astervis.io.

Data & security
This is the most important section for buyers with strict data rules. The short version: nothing about your calls leaves the server unless you turn AI on — and even then, only the call audio goes out for analysis. The AI & Privacy page documents the exact boundary, byte for byte.
AI & call analysis
Older docs said "Astervis does not record or analyse calls." That is no longer true. As of v1, Astervis analyses your existing call recordings — it transcribes them, scores them, and makes them searchable. Recordings are mounted read-only from the PBX; Astervis doesn't create them, your PBX does.
